Ardent Craft Ales was the third brewery to open in Scott’s Addition back in 2014 and bodes a taproom as well as a beer garden; this includes a 4-seasons patio featuring a tent in the winter months. The patio is dog friendly, so you and your furry best friend can visit year-round, and it gives you a backyard feeling with string lights and picnic tables. This is a very popular location and can get quite busy, so plan to get there early if you’d like to secure a table.
If you find yourself hungry while there, you can order something from their menu which features a few salads and sandwiches. Alternatively, you can order food to be delivered or walk next door for some delicious BBQ from ZZQ! When it first opened, Ardent was leasing its facility but only 3 years later (2017), they decided to make Scott’s Addition a permanent home by purchasing the brewery from their landlord. This purchase allowed them to make changes and focus on the future while staying cemented in the neighborhood.
One of the many things to love about Ardent is that they offer a wide variety of beer (IPA’s, DIPA’s, porters, stouts, saisons, pilsners, etc.). There is literally something for everyone! Be sure to try their “Honey Ginger” Spiced/Herb Beer if they have it when you visit – just plan to have a DD (like #LOLABUS) because it packs a bit of a punch (7.8% ABV). Ardent is the perfect addition to your private event itinerary when you ride with us!

That’s what I did with ardentcraftales Pilsner. This 5% ABV German Pilsner is a clear, golden pilsner with classic lager aroma that is clean and bready, with light grassiness from Hallertauer mittelfrüh noble hops. Medium body and effervescence highlight soft bitterness, malty sweetness and mild fruitiness. Ardent Pilsner is a crisp, refreshing German-style pils that finishes dry and clean with a creamy, long-lasting head that leaves rich lacing.

First time at Barrel & Bushel in Tysons Corner. Came in for a few flights and bites, nice spot, staff was friendly and inviting. Large exterior windows keeps the dining area bright and gives it an open, airy atmosphere.
The beer manager Jessika is killing it with the beer selection! Over 22 local DMV beers on tap, including: Ardent, Center of the Universe, Crooked Run, Vasen, RAR, Triple Crossing, Hardywood and Old Ox. Fav beer of the day was #chillininmyjammyjams from RAR, DIPA with Citra & Motueka hops.
Food & service was on point, had the Ahi Tuna Lettuce cups, 72hr Pork Belly and the B&B Poutine. Fav bite of the day was the Pork Belly, maple molasses glazed cubes of heaven!
For dessert I finished up with an Old Ox - Black Ox Nitro Porter, can't go wrong with Old Ox!

And that’s exactly what I did with ardentcraftales 5th Anniversary Sour IPA! This 7.1% ABV American IPA is a hop-forward blend of stainless and barrel conditioned ales. Hopped with Citra and Mosaic, then fermented with two strains of Brettanomyces as well as their house sour culture, this beer is a perfect blend of tart funkiness and hoppy aroma and flavor.

This funky, dry beer perfectly complements the citrusy, fruity hops and effervescent finish and has those glorious aromatics of taste of that farmhouse Brett character.

Fun Fact: this is version 2.0! The original version was created by mistake when some of Ardents Saison had seeped into a fermenting batch of their IPA which they then put into a separate fermentation vessel and added Brettanomyces yeast!
